Anna Aaron grew up in England, Asia and New Zealand and is currently living in Basel where she lives as a part of an underground circle of artists who sing songs, write poetry and design clothes.
In 2009 she released her debut EP (7 songs) “I'll dry your tears little murderer” together with Giacun Schmid, distributed by Irascible
The recording emerged through a collaboration with friends and siblings who play banjo, drums, metallophone, trumpet, bass and cello.
Ira Coleman from New York, who was coincidentally playing a show at the jazzclub in Basel where the piano was recorded, agreed to play upright bass on two tracks for a bottle of whisky.
After the release of the record, Anna’s music steadily became more known among the local music scene before she also started playing shows in other parts of Switzerland (For Noise Festival, Rote Fabrik, Volkshaus Basel, Alhambra Theatre in Geneva., Schuur Luzern…)
A few months later, Anna Aaron was highlighted by the Radio Suisse Romande as ‘’Choix de Première’’ which is a selection of swiss talents. She was then invited to performed on the national radio for a Paradiso Session (biggest radio show in Suisse Romande).
She is now working with Marcello Giulliani (Erik Truffaz, Sophie Hunger…) on the recording of her first full-length album to be released in the Autumn/Winter 2010.
